John Moate Bio

John graduated from the University of Windsor with a bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics. His passion for sports and for athlete development led him to obtain his certification as a Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).​​ John played volleyball at the varsity level for 5 years while at the University of Windsor. As the captain for 3 years John helped to lead his team to 2 OUA bronze medals and one individual All-Canadian nod in 2018. After graduating from school John went on to play professional volleyball for one season in the 1. Bundesliga in Germany. John’s goal is to increase the physical and mental fitness of his athletes by coaching functional movement patterns and implementing strength and conditioning programs specific to each athlete and or sport. John also has diverse experience in leading group classes and helping different populations rehab from injury quickly and effectively. When John isn’t in the gym, he enjoys playing beach volleyball, working out and playing the guitar.
